He owned the bin Laden Group which had branches worldwide and, according to Michael Moore's controversial film "Fahrenheit 9-11," business ties to the Bush family of Crawford, Texas. Moore got that wrong, but the Bin Laden group (construction business) has done business with the Carlyle group (investment bank), in which the Bush family of Kennebunkport, Maine is a shareholder.
