Sorry, but I think you are dead wrong to trivialize methamphetamine abusers. They would "clean up pretty well" if they hadn't gotten into meth, because redemption is always available for those who want it. Their underlying character and upbringing flaws would respond to the right input, but Meth abuse destroys that potential. It's like trying to resurrect a house with a rotten foundation.

Meth abusers aren't having the mother of all bad days, they are having the mother of all decay.
