my point is, i think it's quite likely you would have regained your usual mental attitude with the passage of sufficient time to overcome your grieving....

what you describe doesn't seem like abnormal human response to intense emotional grief

the fact is you probably were helpless (to combat the situation you were confronted with) and justifiably morose....

the human psyche is not normally equipped to maintain a prolonged period of depression, and therefore, i believe, nature provides the mechanism for compensation to loss without drugs

your impression is that the drugs did the trick, but based on what i'm hearing from you, and your general optimistic mindset, i tend to believe you would have pulled through fine without medical intervention
