zonder, what I saw was Azner leading, then an Islamofascist bombing of a Spanish train, then a sudden victory of the guys who wanted to quit and go home.

Now you can twist and spin all you want. If those voters had had any backbone, they would have spit in the extortionists eyes and refused to give in.

The ONLY answer to blackmail is "Publish and be damned!" or you make yourself forever after known as a weakling who can be extorted.

May I point out that Blair and the British have NOT said they will pull out. In fact, Blair has said explicitly that they will not give in and intend to stay.

Is your story that, had Azner said right at the start it was al Qaeda, he would have won and Spain would still have troops in Iraq? Yes? No?

Here's another point of view just as valid:
Whether the attack was made by ETA or Al Qaeda, either way, the perpetrator was hoping to sink Aznar's government. That much is a fact. And it seems the Spanish might be willing to give them what they want and therefore encourage such acts.

Now what say you? They gave in to terrorists whether they were ETA or al Qaeda.
