Does that mean Brit/Canadian style socialized medical system? How about the rationing of services to older folks near or at the end of their tax-paying years? I don't have a program. I'm no expert on health care just don't have a high opinion of socialized anything. I'd be ok with some kind of stripped down basic (and I mean basic - like no dental - let people get their own teeth pulled, get their own glasses, etc.) What services do county health departments provide? I know they give free vaccinations to kids - that's good but what else do they do?
