Potassium cyanide was also widely distributed to undercover operators on both sides during WW II.

The Kamikaze pilots didn't take and didn't need any drugs. They were all volunteers and they volunteered out of pride in and support of the Tenno and Japanese Samurai tradition. They didn't need any external drugs, they were high on endo morphine if anything. Just like mountain climbers.
