Bernanke would never have been my first choice, but compared to Feldstein and Hubbard (the other top names being mentioned) Bernanke is far and away the best choice. You don't expect a Carter like appointment (Volcker) from Bush? ROFLOL. That would never happen ... Someone like Janet Yellen would be a great choice.
