Jim,

TI is the big dog in the DSP market. I believe they own approx. 30% of the market. Behind them you have Analog Devices, Motorola and Lucent. DSP revenue from all four is growing at a rapid rate. In fact TI is building a $2Billion facility for DSP development. Analog Devices mentioned in their last Q-Report that DSP revenue is the largest part of their overall sales.

I have developed DSP applications for both TI and AnalogDevics chips and I must say the development tools - specially for AnalogDevices - leaves alot to be desired.

I am very happy the WIND has decided to enter this market and I believe there is a lot of opportunity for them in this field.

Allen in regards to supporting multiple platforms, I remeber reading a news release from WIND which mentioned they have automated the process of building new release code such that any new software release will be automatically built for all platforms they support. This way they don't need to incrementally release code.

hope this helps.
