The Secular Humanist position contradicts itself. For example they say any account of nature should pass the tests of scientific evidence. OK fine. Then they say that the universe was self-existing and was not created...without passing the test of scientific evidence that they earlier required.

Another one was they had to rewrite the first Humanist Manifesto becaused Hitler proved them wrong. They all thought World War I was the pinnacle of evil and how they reached the conclusion that World War I was caused by dogmatic religion is beyond me, but that was the conclusion they reached.

They all think that man is basically good. That also flies directly in the face of the test of scientific evidence. The scientif evidence indicates no shortage of leaders corrupted by power.
