Ted Olsen deserves more than the sympathy vote. He's extremely intelligent, very conservative, good demeanor (judicial temperament is very important, "black-robe-itis" is awful to deal with, sort of like surgeons who think they're God). Every year he gives one or two speeches on recent updates in the law for the Federalist Society.

When he resigned as Solicitor General, I wondered whether he was getting ready for possible appointment to the Supreme Court. You never know.

I also think he's hot! I have a "thing" for judges. (Lust in my heart only.) I'd take Ted Olden over Brad Pitt any day! Nobody on the current Supreme Court tickles my fancy, although I do think Scalia is kind of cute, but way too short for me.

I am not a Supreme Court groupie at all, but do have Scalia's autograph. (Also Ollie North's, and John O'Neill's - that's all.)(Also Andres Segovia, and Jorge Luis Borges, and that's the entire collection.)

Olsen was Solicitor General for years, did a stellar job. Only strike against him is that he's never been a judge (at least I don't believe he has). But some very good people were put on the SCOTUS with no prior judicial experience. Rehnquist, for one.

Supreme Court trivia, only seems to work in IE, not Firefox (only browsers I use).
