”Not for long. The birth rate ratio in China and India is 115 boys to 100 girls

I read somewhere the other day that we are still able (technically) to produce enough resources to nourish the one billion who are undernourished and the tens of thousands of babies who die each day from malnutrition or related diseases. But “technically” does not solve the problem.

India is expected to surpass China in population in a few decades. Currently, well over 100,000 homeless and starving pay “rent” to sleep on a portion of Bombay sidewalks.

Regardless, of our technical ability to currently feed the planet, there is naturally a point of population where it is simply impossible to sustain the existence of all the people. So we can either continue to let famine, disease, and war act as population control…or we can start using birth control.
