During the CC, they said that channel inventory was normal for both the iPod and CPU's so they believed the numbers presented reflected sell through and not inventory sitting on shelves.

Please clarify if you can: When a retailer takes delivery of Apple products, are they charged at delivery or when the article is actually sold to a customer? AFAIK, my retailer has already paid for what they have in stock. And without much more scouting around, my retailer being extremely low key, the high qty of iMacs on hand is highly abnormal AFAIK. Not the best way to measure but traditionally this retailer has been a good barometer. Time will tell.
