That ("PROOF!) has been looked at several times on this thread!!

HINT: It has to do with conditional propositions!

2. What is called "God" is "a being than which no greater can be conceived."

"IS a being??" Sorry! "What is called God" IS a being ONLY IF "what is called God" exists! You cannot assume the conclusion! And the conclusion cannot be the premise.

Properly...IF God exists, THEN God is a being...etc.

Which (of course) means nothing.

What is called "coo koo" is a being than which no lesser can exist....and so on.

Well...IF "coo koo" exists THEN "coo koo" IS a being all right!! But if "coo koo" does NOT exist...then coo koo DOES NOT!

But IF coo koo existed (as we define "coo koo"), THEN coo koo would be lesser than any being we could ever conceive--outside of our own families, that is. And the idea of the least being is less than the actual least being. Therefore, IF coo koo exists, THEN coo koo exists.

But IF coo koo IS the least being a priori...THEN we don't require an argument.

Again: "2. What is called "God" IS "a being than which no greater can be conceived.""

Well, if God IS this being, then we don't need the argument, do we??!! :-)

If our argument is simply: "GOD EXISTS", then we ought to join a sect out of the thousands which exist.
