Well I hope you are right.

But I do take issue with your support for Gulf War 1.

That war lead to the destruction of much of Iraq's civilian infrastructure. I also remember the "corridor of death" when thousands of fleeing Iraq conscripts were massacred by US aircraft.

It also led to the draconian sanctions which took a huge toll on that country's hapless civilian population.

This by the way was a key reason that Bin Laden began his holy war on the US.
