Thanks, Vaughn. The release underscored the fundamentals driving this market:

"Many analysts consider the long term uranium market outlook to be more positive than almost any other mineral commodity. Going forward there is a projected shortfall of U3O8 as existing primary and secondary sources are being depleted against a background of increasing demand for U3O8 energy. Given the projected gaps in supply and depletion of existing high grade uranium deposits, exploration and new production are needed if projected demand is to be satisfied."

For several months now, the metal has been leading the stocks, but as Taikun just noted, the stocks woke up as a group and headed north on strong volume. Considering the run that the group had for the 2nd half of 2004, an extended stay at the spa was just what the Doctor ordered, but some of them were starting to look more comatose than relaxed.

The charts posted by Bob Hoye at 321energy recently of a selection of stocks all showed a similar pattern and all indicated that these stocks were getting to a decision point (up or down). Having a catalyst like the UEX news probably just helped to move them in the direction they were going to go anyway, but perhaps with a bit more enthusiasm. We'll see what happens next...
