Mario Gabelli made a good speech about China on CNBC this morning, reiterating that once we give China so many dollars for the WalMart stuff, they will want to buy something real with them, not just sit on American paper forever. Sooner or later they will come shopping for more and more. And most Americans don't realize that we already sold a certain percentage of our net worth for the stuff we consume with those fabulous retail sales every month. I'd love to do a push poll asking Americans, would you want to give China the power to wreck our financial markets in a few hours? Bet the answer would be no. Too late! Already did.
