The CIA would not have demanded the investigation unless Plame was an important covert asset. it's very hard to find agents like Plame who can socialize with top VIP's and pose as a corporate executive.

In the old days Rove would be hung by his neck for treason. These days, maybe 5 years in the clink. But he deserves more for putting his personal political agenda above his nation's defense.
