I would want it, but not while he was in office- unless the crime related TO the office.

For example, if he was a shoplifter, I wouldn't want government disrupted while he was prosecuted for that (or prosecuted for lying about it). It just makes no sense to me, and not because I want to give the president any "benefits", but because I think a media circus about the president, distracts dangerously from the business of government.
