Why would you want someone who doesn't respect an oath to spend one more day than necessary in the White House, assuming he was impeached and convicted according to due process?

For those of us who are already less than impressed with the current president's integrity (as we perceive it), I would hate to see a precedent set that a certain petty level of lying on the record is just fine.

One thing I learned from my career in government - the worst things happen when officials in power don't enforce the rules and laws on the books because they decided there was a good reason not to disrupt more important business at the time.

That brings back some nasty memories.
