It wouldnt be a "stock" margin. You borrow from a bank using "collateral". which can be up to 90% in most cases. Banks and brokers have different rules. But I think your point is well taken that 1. Who would know that. 2. how many people actually did that. 3. as a % of people out there, whats the margin like in general.

Then you compare that with the Average for a mortgage. In SC your talking an AVERAGE 6% down. The exception of a "player" borrowing up to 90% just proves the rule.
