Same with trains. raise the prices, cut places where it is not profitable or close shop.

John, I would like to comment on this. I believe I DRIVE the highways far more then the average American. (ie I love to drive and I love to travel). My pet PEEVE is that the TRUCKS today on the highways are OUT OF CONTROL. This last trip I took to Las Vegas was THE WORST of all. Honest to God, it was WALL TO WALL trucks from the Mississippi to LV. Made it an awful driving experience. Now, IF we put all that stuff on TRAINS like we used to we could make a major cut back on the truck traffic. This IMHO would be a GOOD THING for the nation and for the railroads. jdn
