Try two attorneys... The first was the largest firm in Sarasota. The second was to fire the first...after I was harassed.

Arthur told me that I would be relieved of the commitment to the listing (with another broker) by writing a letter and getting my key back. He further said he was going to take care of it. This was all while he was making the offer to take title and sell the property and give me a promissory note for a few months......So this was in August. And the promissory note was due in March... Ha...

Well, I thought that I was acting legally... who knew. And I didn't know that that Realtor with whom I had had the condo listed was suing me until I found out when I was trying to buy some other property and discovered a lien on my home.

Then I went to a third lawyer... He said I had to pay the commission. Boy, this hurt.

You could never know the mess I was in. And Arthur was unscathed. He walked away with all the money.. never paid me the promissory note and finally a retired State Supreme Court judge told me that fraud was hard to prove. I was conned.. big time but Arthur had conned others previous to me and he conned long afterward. His rap sheet is miles long available on the web.. So I watch..

Thanks for advice. In 1986 I was really listening to everyone...
