I remember one of them being interviewed saying that some of them had shot a gun once in the last year before being deployed...pretty scary. How much more difficult is the military's job in Iraq when they're dealing with armed reservists and national guard AND contractors? On top of everything, those contractors are outside the chain of command. Add in Iraqis, loyalties and agenda unknown, with guns and I guess it's pretty darn amazing that anything gets done.
