>> They know our history with Iran and they don't care.

Not true! They know the history and the do care and take lessons from it. Do you really believe they don't blame America for encouraging Saddam to go to war against Iran and then later giving just enough aid to BOTH sides so they can kill each other into exhaustion? How do you think they feel about the country who was the "ally" of Saddam and yet "supported" Iran just enough? Do you believe they have not forgotten Bush Sr's call to arms only to allow Saddam fly gunship over southern Iraq and massacre them? Do you really believe they do not blame US for the sanctions that starved them to death? Do you think that just because now Bush thought it to his advantage to roll in and remove Saddam all is forgotten and forgiven? Would you have forgotten and forgiven?

>> Would it be possible to walk or bike or...

Do you believe the government is there to protect your interests or the interests of the corporations who financed its election?

>> Wouldn't it be better to expend $350 billion on THIS effort instead of...

Who are you asking this question from? I am sure the corporations feel the money is best spent on them specially since it is spent so they can make even more money in the future.
