What I meant is that the Iraqi government, now in power because of the USA, doesn't care that Iran and the USA are not on friendly terms. They openly go to Iran, they openly apologize for Saddam, they openly play kissy face with Iran.

They do so knowing that, their benefactor, the USA does not want them to do that.

I think the government isn't a single entity with a single purpose. I do think politicians are cheap to buy and so groups and organizations should buy them up before corporations do. It's a lousy system but it is all we have at the moment.

I do think it's in the government's self interest to have oil be somewhere less than $100/bbl. Somewhere between $60 and $100, the economy starts to feel it and voters get very upset and try to throw the bums out.

I'm asking individuals. We do not have to wait for someone to tell us what to do. I, as an individual, make a very deliberate effort to not use as much energy as I certainly could afford to do.

I'm trying to remember when energy conservation went outta style and when gas guzzling tanks became the 'in' thing?
