I disagree. You will never get politicians to destroy their own bread and butter. Dems, Reps, it's just shades of gray to me. Sometimes, like during Clinton, we get somewhat better government. Other times... But in both times the system is flawed and primarily serves the elite.

The solution has to come from below. People have to be educated and refuse to take it. Focusing on Bush versus Clinton is to draw attention away from the real solution and create cult of personalities.

Modern democracy was not bestowed upon us by benevolent rulers; it came as a result of grass root struggles that forced the evolution on the upper classes.
