Wow. Watch this video from ABC in 1998 (all relevant links below). It details links between Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein and their mutual search for WMD. (Link via Powerline) This is just the connection that Stephen Hayes has been reporting on for several years. His most recent article concerns the links between an Iraqi prisoner at Guantanamo and Al Qaeda. Last year, he published "The Connection" laying out evidence upon evidence of links between Hussein and Al Qaeda. Apparenly, ABC knew all about this in 1998, but has since forgotten. I just wish that the administration would do a better job of getting this information out there so that it didn't seem to be accepted wisdom that Hussein and Al Qaeda had nothing to do with each other.
