They have a list of specific grievances and it behooves us to keep that list in mind. Those are the pressure points, that become the flash points. Yes, they have a list of specific grievances, and I have listened to them. The loss of Al Andalus and the Caliphate feature prominently on that list, or didn't you notice? For Al Qaeda, the last 13 centuries of history all happened yesterday and the Crusades are on-going. They say so. This puts their reactions into a somewhat different class than your typical guerilla army fighting for independence of Lower Kaffiristan, or whatever.
