A penny stock for my thoughts ... you want to unload your shares of IDID?? Not my style at all.

Let me do a print out of the stocks, and we'll talk more later.

On ASND, the question is whether 50 will hold on Monday or will it dip to 47+ before going up. Last time when mm's took it to 48 and then dropped it like a rock. What will they do this time?? Check out the options thread where Chris and I were chatting about ASND trades today when the stock was at 53-54.

On CUBE last cycle they let it fall to 27+ and came to its rescue. This cycle they let it fall to 22+ on 7/16 and today it was trading about 30. mm's manipulate a stock in the direction of the dominant trend. If investors are scared and the funds want to unload, the mm's exacerbate the movement to make more profits. They don't establish the trend .. the market does .. mm's just exaggerate the trend.

Look at CSCC on 7/16 ... the mm got carried away and let the stock drop to 52.5, the buffer zone of strike 55. He had to work hard to rescue the stock back to 60 that day.

A thin volume rally means there no real buyers ... that the moves we are seeing are totally fabricated. mm's don't have to be in cahoots with one another, but major brokerages work with multiple mm's for a particular stock so among the group they must be competitive ... hence some sort of concensus on spreads .. the brokerage will use the best bid and best ask from among the group of mm's.

Investing use to have meaning and it still does. Trading is a different beast today than five-seven years ago.
