I'd be more than happy to store an introduction and list summary on my site. I think it'd be incredibly valuable, both for newcomers and for our reference.

Storing a 'best of' list of the 4500+ messages probably wouldn't be the best approach, though. Too much reading; too much fluff.

We should probably start with detailed descriptions of the primary trading strategies used here. We could probaby use three categories: Herm's strategy (Buy call, execute, write cc, cover) which can be performed without the initial buy for small cap traders who aren't allowed to do that yet. Second is Steve's strategy, which is somewhat more advanced by using puts, which most beginner's don't really understand right away. I think Dick's calendar spread qualifies as a third strategy. It's more advanced, like Steve's, but it sounds fairly conservative. It's probably best for big cap traders who are looking for less risk.

The descriptions should have examples, of course. I think it would be great if we had an archive of trading activity. I'm thinking of something like Herm's or Hank's spreadsheet for each stock we've each traded in the past, and maybe our current positions. This would show the strategies in action, as well as how repairs have been done. I could provide links to a TA chart site so you could see the trading history along side the TA history.

Hmm... This sounds pretty ambitious, actually. Does anyone have the time to compile this?

Doug.
