That's nuts.

Good marketing. The kids love it. Not all that different from standing in line to get tickets to a concert.

Chris reserved our copy at Border's, so we didn't get the nifty yellow bracelet they were handing out at Barnes and Noble.

I took Nick first, and they couldn't find his reservation, so I wound up buying maybe $50 worth of other books.

Chris had the confirmation email on his dresser so took Nick back and bought even more books.

The place looked busier than usual, even for a Saturday, more like Christmas time. Lots of very, very happy kids.

Nick read it in about 5 hours, then Ben in about 4. Chris has it now but I will snag it after he goes to bed. First time reading one, but I did think the movies were pretty good so will give it a try.

Sunday we were seeing cut price copies everywhere, including Safeway and Giant grocery stores.
