My guess is no, Brits are proud of their Sikh warriors.
Nor would he force Scotsmen to wear trousers if they'd rather wear kilts.
Heck, chicken tikka masala is the "national dish of Great Britain." They've learned to love the individual members of the Empire, even though they don't have it anymore.
Hating Muslim individuality is just a backlash.
I don't like hijab, personally, but if the alternative is that the woman is forced to stay home, let her walk around. She needs the fresh air and the exercise. I grew up around nuns draped in black cloth from head to toe, I can handle it.
Come to think of it, the Brits are not fond of nuns, either. Oh, well, that's a different story. |
