And they have the only opinion that is important in this. All the other articles about how she wasn't covert at the time is just smoke to distract from the issue. Now in the context of that particular law, Rove very well may have an out. He might not have known she was covert. At least that would be hard to prove.

Having said that, it appears as if Fitzgerald is not pursuing this line, but going for a much easier to prove obstruction of justice and lying under oath. Given the number of denials of involvement before this broke, he likely has a shot. It is dubious that Rove admitted this to the grand jury or the FBI agents who talked to him. Ditto for Libby. If it can be proven that Cheney and/or Bush knew the details before they talked to the grand jury, they might be in trouble also.

Fitzgerald could be casting a wide net here.
