<<...Mr. Moore, you are basing your opinion on what was. No 'crime' was committed by Rove in the past decades of evil. No one could trace anything back to Rove, even though everyone knew he was behind all the dirty deeds. This time he broke the law.
Will he be indicted for outing Plame?...I don't know. But, based on Cooper's email, and his lawyers statments regarding Roves grand jury testimony, he is guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice. He also lied to the FBI back in Oct. 2003 when he told them he never spoke about Plame until after Novak's column came out. Martha Stewart went to jail for lying to the FBI in the course of an investiagtion. And for all of that, he will be indicted.
So, yes, you are making a judgement based on what was. But not even Karl Rove can wiggle out of this one. There is no way in hell, Bush will be able to keep him on. You speak of the prosecutor. He will have the last word on this. Not Bush, not Rove, not you or I. He doesn't give a rat's behind about Rove's 'genius', or Bush's loyalty.
You talk about Bush's lasting legacy...well if he keeps Rove on, that will be a politically, fatal move. That WILL be his legacy, as well as starting an illegal war.
