I recall walking down the street years ago, in Athens, GA, during summer one day and glancing up at a bank sign, which posted the current date and temperature.

The temp was 100 degrees........I said to myself, you've got to be kidding. I wasn't sweating. You can sweat where I live at 85 degrees.

Not that it doesn't get humid Athens in summer...it definitely does, but not all the time.

Refrigerator repair people tell us to keep the dehumidification feature on a refrigerator (if you have such a feature) running year-round.

A dehumidifer in the basement of any house is just about mandatory. Some real estate agents have been known to lend these out to homesellers while their homes are on the market. No joke. Would be better if sellers would wake up and buy their own dehumidifiers and actually use them.
