I am surprised how close the price of petrol is worldwide. I will have to check the price next time I am in Azerbaijan. I was sure it was much cheaper than the US but it doesn't look like it. The exchange rate is tricky. A liter is 2000 Manot and when I left Azerbaijan a few weeks ago the exchange rate was 4700/USD. Also petrol I quoted for UK was for North East Scotland. .89p/lt, I used an exchange rate of .57p/USD ($1.75/£)for the exchange rate. The exceptions are Iran and the UK! Two extremes. Also there are 3.78 liters in a US gallon....
