I hope you understand that the statement about opening a window was spoken tongue-in-cheek. The coon backed himself into a corner and, at that point, was VERY dangerous! I know from other posts of yours that you too are a animal lover. Wild animals never lose their ability to forage for food as it is a natural instinct. Natural food, though, is seasonal. Most will gorge themselves in the summer and live mainly off their body fat in the winter, but more and more of the woods they need to survive have been replaced with subdivisions. Without help, a lot of these animals won't survive even our Georgia winters. When I was a child living in NYC the only wildlife I ever got to see was rats, roaches, and pigeons. I don't want to see this happen here.
