I have just received e-mail from Jill to the effect that hedgy1 is one of the accounts suspended. She states that the specific reasons are not listed in the Terms of Use, but the reasons have to do with SI liability for content in an electronic forum. I don't imagine this means that anyone's account has yet been revoked. I guess it depends on what their investigation determines.

I don't know who actually instigated this suspension, the company or someone else from AOL(or here, for that matter). There seems to be an assumption spreading, however, that the company may be behind this. Aside from being a completely unsubstantiated conclusion, I'd say I can't blame a company for trying to stem the proliferation of lies or statements made with malicious intent. Barrons, WSJ, or any other print media are subject to the same laws. The question is, was the word "scam" the only objectionable term, or were there other specific falsehoods or misinformation posted? Sure wish I knew what they were.
