Just because Cooper didn't read Novak's story that was distributed on AP, doesn't make it a leak. There is no such thing as a leak of publicly available information, even if that information takes some work to get. The same principle is applied to insider trading. Most information is publicly available, but may be difficult or costly to obtain.
