Has anybody been to DOCU's home page at docucon.com ?
Sounds like they are well qualified for a good piece of that government contract they are bidding on. I especially liked the following:

"Docucon has successfully completed some of the most complex and highest
volume backfile conversion projects ever undertaken. For example:
We converted over 12 million pages of US Navy technical manuals to
electronic documents. It is likely that when one of our ships leaves port now, it carries a few hundred CD-ROM's instead of the tons of paper it used to carry.

We converted over 20 million aperture cards to digital images for use on the DoD's shore based JEDMICS system, and the Navy's ship based ATIS system.

We have SGML tagged over 3 million pages of DoD and commercial technical data for use on a number of DoD and commercial document management systems.

We converted about 25 million pages of oil and gas lease records for Texaco, files that dated back to the days when Texaco was known as The Texas Company.

We converted almost 2 million pages of technical data to Adobe's PDF format.
