Okay, but that doesn't explain why you don't immediately see the representation problem.
Forgot you are out of the country so may not know the pool for women here is incredibly large. It's not like hightech nor the oil industry. The legal and court system is pack full of qualified women, so that's why this is so incredibly shocking.

It's statistically out of whack. The pool of candidates is sufficiently large enough. Additionally, 9 is reasonably large enough to point to evidence of bias. It's truly shocking they aren't able to find more than ONE women in ALL of America's legal system, when it's packed full with very qualified women in the legal system with lots of experience.

If I were in charge, I'd also have people of different weight represented - weight challenged, underweight, and medium.
