vent all you want...

so will i...

i personally found it absolutely fabulous that a president didn't decide it more important to fill an implied quota rather than pick his choice for the best person for the job

as a parent of a son AND a daughter

(both highly accomplished)

i would not want to see either one passed over OR picked because of their gender for a position, and frankly i have never gotten the slightest feedback from either one that gender has influenced either affirmatively or negatively their employment status

their success has been based upon their accomplishment and skill, as it should be

in fact, i would say the picking of roberts, if anything, underscores the fact we societally have come AWAY from the notion that gender should be a consideration

during the selection process, i was actually dismayed when i kept hearing that 'woman should replace a woman' or if not that, surely an hispanic.....

pure rubbish

the fact is there were women, hispanics, and white men under consideration, bush obviously casting off gender politics and nominating a jurist based upon judicial philosophy and temperament

nominates a white male neanderthal

neanderthal?

hmmmmm.....as opposed to a neanderthalette????
