in the ride of a lifetime, champion Lance Armstrong leads the Tour de France

go LANCE!

Running from Saturday July 2nd to Sunday July 24th 2005, the 92nd Tour de France will be made up of 21 stages and will cover a total distance of 3607 kilometres.

Up next: Stage 17, Pau to Revel, 148.8 miles, as riders head through central France toward Paris.

What to expect: The longest stage of the race, with rolling terrain throughout. A short, sneaky little Category 3 climb pops up 4 miles from the finish. A day for a breakaway specialist.

18 Albi - Mende 189 km
19 Issoire - Le Puy en Velay 153.5 km
20 Saint-Etienne - Saint-Etienne 55.5 km
21 Corbeil-Essonnes - Paris 144 km

The Tour de France ends Sunday in Paris
