I'm sure in Bush's calculation, a woman might just possibly support other women's right to an abortion. So, he really had no choice but to select a man. A man who, while otherwise immensely qualified, would be nearly CERTAIN to vote to overturn Roe V. Wade if given the opportunity. Hopefully, this choice will energize all concerned women, even Republican women.
