Of course Plame was covert. Otherwise the CIA never would have instigated a long expensive investigation of the White House in the first place. Do you think they'd drag Bush and Cheney into court over just mentioning a non-covert CIA employee?

Nice try, liar. Typical rightwing dishonesty, to try and smear their own victims, or the messengers of the truth.

Plame may have been a very important CIA asset on WMD's, and she was very much covert according to anyone who knows anything about it. Granted most of the info is classified. But very likely, Rove outed a VIP WMD's operation overseas which puts our national security in jeopardy. Whatever cover operation she was a part of in Bulgaria and the ME is now blown, including every other agent, informant and asset she contacted during all those years.
