Eventually and All ..

peterk,

<< Eventually all those phones will be converted to some form of cdma >>

You continue to sound like a terribly naive and very gullible investor that is overly susceptible to hype to me. For your own financial health and well being I hope you are using a realistic definition of "all" and "eventually," and if you think that combined sales of 3GSM UMTS (WCDMA) handsets and CDMA handsets will exceed 50% of handsets sold before 2009 you are kidding yourself. Beyond that, what happens with the work item for enhanced GSM EDGE in 3GPP and the standardization of OFDMA based 'Super 3G' in 3GPP may well determine both the percent of all and the eventually.

Hopefully there is upside to QUALCOMM's estimate of 44 million (mean) estimate of CDMA + WCDMA handsets shipped CQ2 because if not 'cdma' handset share dropped from ~25% of the market to ~23.5% sequentially.
