Republicans, the antidemocracy wing of Congress, are laying the foundations of the ram-through-roberts campaign. They are actually saying, without bursting into actual flames, that no one should ask Roberts really tough, detailed questions about how he thinks about controversial subjects.

Apparently, they don't want any serious questioning, just a pat on the head before abortion-gay rights-right to die come up in the autumn. I'm still thinking about those headlines stating that entire redstates have made all contraception ILLEGAL.
