I am a COSTCO member as well as a stockholder. I have many friends who work for our local Costco, mostly part time. Being retired myself several have urged me to get a job there, WHY? Cause they provide complete health insurance coverage even for part time employees. I dont think I have ever met any employees so uniformly happy with their employer. I am told locally the starting salary (thats for the checker at the door) is $15.50 an hour. That is a good salary locally. Now, as a shareholder, I might feel they are treating the employees TOO GOOD but as a citizen I have to admire them. Since I have a HUGE unrecognized profit in that stock I guess I cant complain.
