I have first hand knowledge of two cases (and heard of more) where the woman got herself pregnant on purpose to force the man (who was leaving her) to stay with her (in both cases it worked and in neither case it led to a very happy home...interestingly enough both men pay a lot more attention to the kids than their wives). Let's face it, if the woman wants to seduce the man and push for it, many times she will manipulate the circumstances and succeed (sadly most men are not very smart in this department). Besides, she too can insist on him using a condom. I'd say it is a joint responsibility.

Fair enough. But if that is your perspective, why should the man be responsible for the consequences of what the woman chose to do with her body? Taking a couple of RU-486 seems nothing compared to all the pain and long term issues you talked about.
