Our side lost because there are so many Americans who are propagandized into focusing on other countries instead of our own. Which is a truly amazing feat of modern propaganda. Infrastructure crumbling in America, domestic security a problem due to local crime, let's go destroy and rebuild countries half way around the world, even while our own is in dire need of assistance. Those are the policies that "conservative" Americans have been proagandized into supporting. Kerry certainly wouldn't have turned this insane direction our country is heading in around, but he did promise to spend more money on America, which is why I supported him. I live in America, not in Afghanstan or Iraq, and I have no intention of visiting those countries, which receive our money, ever in my life.

I'll tell you what evil is. Deposing a budding democracy in Iran in 1953 and installing a brutal dictator in its place, and then training the dictator's secret police, all to control oil, like we did for the Shah of Iran. Another example of evil is the support for Saddam Huessein in the 1980s during some of his worst attrocities and then imposing brutal sanctions on Iraq that led to the death of 1,000,000+ people, like we did in Iraq. Evil has many faces, unfortunately, sometimes it also has a Western face motivated by economic considerations.
